Panoramic photography - generic name of all that is connected with the shooting panoramas. By this term is meant either:
picture with a wide viewing angle of more than of conventional lenses, and often greater than 180 degrees;
usual picture "long" format, with an aspect ratio of 1 × 2, 1 × 3 or more;
Photo obtained by assembling technology panoramas from individual frames (in this case it may have a small viewing angle and standard aspect ratio).
Depending on the application, the panorama can be planar and virtual.
Planar - projected onto a plane and can be completely reproduced on paper or a monitor.
Virtual - are intended for display on a computer with a special software that allows the viewer to "cool head", looking at different parts of the space surrounding the photographer when shooting. These panoramas can be spherical (covers 360 × 180 degrees and allow the viewer to watch not only left and right, but his feet and over his head) and cylindrical (can only look left and right).
